In the not too distant past, if you wanted to be informed about politics, you would either have to read the newspaper or watch the nightly news. Today, we can get information instantly and from many different sources. An informed citizen body is an essential feature of a democratic society. This begs the question, will social media ultimately be a force for good or ill when it comes to democracy?
