General Criteria
- Student contacts three dental offices and obtains one face-to-face interview, one telephone interview, and one written survey. (Student MUST obtain one of each type of data collection.)
- If there is more than one dentist in the office each dentist may be interviewed separately keeping in mind the survey technique must be different. E.g. if one dentist is surveyed face-to-face the other dentist must be surveyed either over the phone or by a written survey.
- Student contacts instructor in a timely manner with any obstacles encountered during the project.
- Student collects all relevant data/information.
- A written report is submitted as a word document. At the end of the report attach the responses to the questions from the three surveys. Grading criteria is located under the assignment in Assignments.
Written Report Criteria
- Report is divided into introduction, main body content and conclusion.
- Introduction – discusses subject, purpose, and scope of report.
- Content – Structure is clearly organized in a logical manner and describes how information was collected.
- Conclusion – clearly stated, documents student’s point of view about the experience.
- Proper punctuation, grammar, word usage and spelling.
- Length, minimum of 3 pages, maximum of 4 pages.
- Use Times New Roman 12 point font.
- 1 inch side margins and 1 inch top and bottom margins.
- Double-spaced.
- 5 space indent for paragraphs.
