Exercise in Selected Ergonomic Assessment Tools
Goal: The goal of this laboratory is to gain some insight into some of the ergonomic assessment tools/devices.
Procedure: Do some research (online or otherwise) and write about the following pieces of equipment used in ergonomic evaluation.
- HR monitor
- Goniometer
- Strength evaluation system
- Electromyograph (EMG)
- Skin calipers
Results: Report the result of research explaining
i) What is the device meant to do?
ii) How it does what it is meant to do (operating principles)?
iii) How is this device important in the field of ergonomics?
iv) Are there any other devices that can be substituted to perform the same
task as performed by this device?
