• We can divide technology innovation into two categories from a business standpoint,
  • 1) disruptive
  • 2) sustaining.
• Example-While the innovation of the wireless phone technology was disruptive, the release of 4G (4th generation wireless network) is clearly a sustaining innovation.
• As both disruptive and sustaining technologies continue to emerge, some will have a direct impact on you and your career.

Discussion Questions:

As you work on this assignment, consider the past and future impact of disruptive and innovative technologies on you and your future. (Learning online, working from home, virtual networks, social Medias, etc.
