would-you-recommend-cross-training

Law enforcement and forensic personnel need to work together in order to ensure that a perpetrator is apprehended so further harm is not caused. Collaboration is vital in criminal justice which is confronted with complex issues hence the need for the people to work as a team. Collaboration in criminal justice allows all relevant parties to share information for a mutual benefit, facilitate coordination and cooperation. Collaborative training is fundamental to both of these entities as a means to improving investigations. Not just the basic inservice training rather in depth and ongoing training. Would you recommend cross training? Having each of these groups working in the other’s role would provide or give them an understanding or insight of what each area deal with. Will this provide feedback in how to effectively handle different processes?
