watched-the-video-answer-the-following-in-one-paragraph-in-at-least-40-words-but-no-more-than-50

One of the most horrific aspects of World War II, and indeed, one of the most tragic chapters in human history, was the Holocaust. As explained by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Holocaust “was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored murder” of Jews, gypsies, the disabled, homosexuals, Socialists, Communists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and all others who did not fit the Nazi ideological or biological picture. Nazis primarily targeted Jews as they blamed Jews for all of Germany’s problems.

The following is a link to a documentary clip produced during the liberation of the Nazi camps where prisoners were taken, tortured, and then murdered. NOTE: the video for this assignment contains extremely graphic images. However, it is absolutely vital that you watch and you learn. After you’ve watched the video, answer the following in one paragraph in at least 40 words but no more than 50 (and remember to include the word count):

  1. According to the film’s narrator, why did General Eisenhower send American and British delegations to all of the Nazi camps? What did he hope would happen?

2. “The survivors will never forget nor will the world forget.” Why is it vital that people know of the horrors of the Holocaust?
