There are many planned for and expected activities in a fieldwork experience. There are also unexpected happenings and events that may surprise us. In this discussion you will:

• Summarize a situation or event that occurred during this week’s fieldwork hours or during another week’s fieldwork activities that was unexpected or surprised you.
• Identify what in the situation was unexpected and why.
• Share what you learned in this situation.
