Nursing Education and Leadership
Florence Nightingale and Lillian Wald were two pioneer nurse educators. Their commitment to excellence led the profession of nursing to overcome adversity and persevere. Their commitment serves as lessons and inspiration to us as we strive to strengthen nursing education, remove barriers to practice, and promote nursing leadership. Each state has its own Nurse Practice Act (Links to an external site.)(NPA), which is based on the promotion and safe practice in nursing. An aspect of each NPA defines the legal scope of the nurse’s responsibilities for teaching.
