Assume again, that you are a nurse who has been tasked to help research and develop a plan for real-time video trauma care between your facility and a Level 1 trauma center in a nearby large city.

You have researched systems like this in other regional markets. And have learned that many such systems include online video communication between trauma doctors and lead care trauma nurses at the Level 1 trauma facility and regional hospital.

You have found excellent evidence regarding lives saved through this practice. However, you have found very little specific evidence or data as to how these systems have actually built better health care relationships with their communities.

How might you better structure your literature search using PICO Linguist as your search engine? What specific search terms might you use to provide more specific results? How might your team proceed if it cannot find specific evidence in this search?

Will you be able to change clinical practice if you do not have specific evidence? Is this specific data on how communities have enhanced health care relationships through implementation of such a program important?

This assignment is designed to help you understand how to make your research usable and available to other people in your field.

Develop a dissemination plan for your research. Your plan should include discussion about the following:

• Audience

  Who is most likely to use this research?

• What is the practice setting? •

End-user needs
