You are a nurse on a busy Med-Surg floor.  Your 60-year old patient uses the call light and says they are having chest pain. 

1. List 3-5 immediate nursing interventions and rationale for each action.  (1 paragraph) **This scenario and prompt are intentionally vague, in order to ignite critical thinking. Dig deep in your reading and resources and think about all possible scenarios!

2.  Think about the information you would need to gather before you contacted the healthcare provider and create an SBAR format report for the phone call.
