Skinner’s Radical Behaviorism emphasizes the significance of understanding the behavior of the scientist or practitioner within the context being studied. Essentially, our behaviors, just like those of others, are influenced by our personal histories of reinforcement and conditioning. Recognizing that our observations of another person’s behavior and context are never entirely unbiased, it becomes crucial to address our own blind spots and biases during the functional assessment process. One effective approach to achieving this is through collaborative Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA).
