Prior to completing this lab exercise you should review the Pre-lab reading found in Lab 7 of the Pam Gore Lab Manual beginning on page 155. Pay close attention to the examples. You must also watch the video tutorials on Stratigraphy and Correlation. You can either complete the correlation between beds by the method outlined in the lab manual, or the simpler method provided in the video tutorial. You can either print this lab and complete the correlation by hand or use the simple drawing tools found in Word to draw straight lines (found under Insert, Shapes, then choose the line symbol). The following stratigraphic sections were taken from the lab manual, Lab 7.
