After the annual mid-year external inspection report from Care Quality Commission (CQC) and following a whistle-blower’s complaint letter, the CEO of a major hospital in East London, Tower Hamlets, has become concerned about the poor performance of both the maternity wards and the A & E departments The CEO has immediately called for an emergency meeting with the managers from both the maternity ward and A & E. The CEO has demanded that the action points addressed in both the CQC inspection report and the whistle blowers letter be changed immediately for the better. Both managers want to get a good rating for their respective departments which will boost the Hospital rating. Therefore they will have to introduce a series of mandatory and immediate changes throughout each of their respective department.
