Evaluation Week 4: Evidence-based Practice/Clinical Decision making Case Study paper
After reviewing the case study and relevant literature, students will propose an evidence-based practice change. Students are expected to include at least 3 pieces of peer-reviewed (i.e. research studies, systematic reviews, meta analyses, etc.) literature as best evidence support. APA format must be used for writing evidence-based practice case study. The final product should be approximately 3-5 pages excluding title page and references.
Grading Criteria for Evidence-based Practice Case Study
Development question using the PICO, PIO, PICOT, or PIOT format
20 points
Collection and critical appraisal of the most relevant and best evidence
20 points
Development and integration of evidence, clinical expertise and patient preferences/values in the proposed evidence-based practice change
30 points
Development and proposed plan of evaluation of the proposed evidence-based practice change for effectiveness
20 points
Reference listing, correct use of APA
10 points= 100 points
