Chronic depression and Substance use disorder in Acute Detox

How does chronic depression in young adults with substance use disorder effect their progress in detox program compared to young adult with no history of chronic depression? Evidence-based practice for Capstone project.

Review of the Research Literature

This section includes a review of the literature, relating the patient problem to an IOM/QSEN competency (Cronenwett et al., 2007).

•                • Cite at least 5 references from the nursing literature (nursing journals) that were written within the last 5 years – at least 3 of these references need to be research articles.

•                • The only exception to the rule of 5 years is with original articles or seminal work. See example of Folstein et al. (1975) and the Mini-Mental State Exam in the purpose statement/research question examples.

•                • Textbooks and Wikipedia cannot be used as references.
