The question this article poses is this: “Can we still love the work of artists whose behavior we loathe?”. After reading the article, what do you think?
Should it matter if an artist is not a exemplary human being or lives a life that goes against basic moral principles? Can we and should we still like and admire their work? Should this matter? I can think of several current headlines involving athletes and musicians whose behavior is deplorable- do you still purchase their music or watch them play?
Can you think of any other artists whose lives were problematic but whose work people still admire?
