2. For any business, unless the equipment needed is under $1000 total, I would rent everything. While yes, buying would give you tax breaks, if the equipment breaks or needs repair, you as the owner are responsible for it. If you rent a building, equipment, etc, all maintenance and repairs are the responsibility of the owner unless specified otherwise in any written agreements.
